While having trouble with my major work for the semester, i posed this question to my lecturer,
If i am to approach my piece from a design perspective, why then do i have to rationalize the aesthetics of the design by assigning to it some deep, profound meaning?
He replied,
Whether a piece is made either by a ‘designer’ or an ‘artists’ it must make sense from beginging to end – just because an essay is shaped like a poem, does not mean it is one. A piece’s aesthetics and the message you want to portray with it, must work together for it to be a successful design.
Regrettably, i completely agree.

Today marks the day of my first post and coincidentally St Patricks day, which i celebrate religiously.
